What Deen Dawn does

Prayer times with adhan reminders, the Quran with translation and search, qibla compass, tasbih counter, the Islamic (hijri) calendar, suhoor/iftar times, and a zakat calculator — all working offline, all free.

Frequently asked

Is it really free? What's the catch?

Yes — free forever, with no ads, no accounts, and no catch. There is nothing to buy in the app: no purchases, no subscriptions, no donation buttons. Every feature is free for everyone.

Do you collect my data?

No. Deen Dawn collects no data at all — no accounts, no tracking, no analytics. Your settings, bookmarks, and history stay on your device. See our Privacy Policy.

My prayer times look wrong.

Open Settings and check your city, the calculation method, and the Asr (madhab) setting — different communities use different conventions. If you're not sure, the "Automatic" options follow the most common convention for your region. You can also set your city manually if location is off.

The adhan/notification didn't sound.

Make sure notifications are enabled for the prayer in Settings, and that your phone isn't in silent mode or a Focus mode — those are phone settings that can mute app sounds.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Prayer times, the Quran, qibla, tasbih, calendar, and the zakat calculator all work fully offline. The only feature that uses the internet is streaming recitation audio.

The qibla compass seems off.

Move away from metal and electronics, and wave the phone in a figure-8 to calibrate the compass. The app also shows a small note when accuracy is low.
